[교육부]2017년 태국인 한국어교원 양성과정 수료식 열려

□ 교육부는 6월 8일(목) 10시 한국외국어대학교에서 태국인 한국어 교원의 4개월간의 연수 과정 수료를 축하하고 이들을 격려하기 위한 수료식을 가졌다.

ㅇ 이날 행사에는 교육부 국제협력관, 한국외대 총장 등이 참석하여 태국인 한국어 교원에게 수료증을 전달하고 한국어 교원으로서 자긍심을 가지도록 격려하였으며,

ㅇ 교원들은 본국으로 돌아가 현지 학생들에게 한국을 알리고, 한국어가 제대로 전파될 수 있도록 최선을 다해 가르치겠다는 포부를 밝혔다.

ㅇ 수료식을 마친 교원들은 6월 11일 태국으로 출국하며, 현지에서 남은 1년의 교육을 마치면 한국어교사자격증을 취득한다.

“친구들에게 한국어를 가르쳐주고 제가 가르쳐준 한국어를 사용하는 모습을 보면서 뿌듯함을 느끼고 한국어 선생님이 되기로 결심 했어요. 앞으로 남은 교육과정도 무사히 마치고 학생들이 한국어를 사랑할 수 있도록 많은 것을 가르쳐주고 싶어요.” - 니와펀 짠암 -

□ 태국인 한국어 교원 양성 사업은 태국 정부의 요청에 따라 ’14년부터 4년간 총 140명의 한국어 교원 양성을 목표로 진행되었다.

ㅇ 교육부는 총 2년간 진행되는 태국인 한국어 교원 양성 과정 중 한 학기 동안 한국외국어대학교에서 한국 내 연수를 받을 수 있도록 지원했으며,

ㅇ 이 연수과정에는 태국인 한국어 교원들을 위한 한국어 수업 실습, 한국어 발음 수업, 한국어 교수법 및 한국 문화체험 등 다양한 프로그램이 포함되어 있다.

□ 이 사업을 통해 양성된 교원들은 태국 현지 학교에서 한국어 교원으로 활동하게 된다. 실제로 ’14년 양성과정을 거친 1기 선생님들은 현지 학교로 배치되어 한국어 알리미 역할을 톡톡히 해내고 있다.

ㅇ 허왕 학교에서 근무하는 터끼엇 세미통 선생님은 처음 부임 했을 때만 해도 학교가 과학, 수학 등에 중점을 두고 있어 한국어 수업 수요가 적었으나, 1년간 최선을 다해 한국어를 가르치고, 한국 문화를 홍보한 결과 지금은 한국어 반이 더 개설 되고, 학생 수도 늘어 뿌듯하다는 소감을 전해왔다.

ㅇ 또 다른 교사인 어라판 씨나팽 선생님은 주태국한국교육원과 태국 교육부가 협력하여 진행하는 태국 정규학교용 한국어 교과서 개발에 참여한다며 이에 대한 감격과 자랑스러움을 표현하기도 했다.

□ 교육부 최영한 국제협력관은 “태국인 한국어 선생님들이 앞으로 양국을 이어주는 중요한 다리가 되어줄 것으로 기대하며,
